Love is a sunrise, a mountaintop, the laughter in the eyes of good souls. It’s a wish on an eyelash, waved into the wind. It’s the pairing of warm toes, cheese on toast, slippers and a good friend. Love is the friendships I hold close.

Love Is was written for a dear friend, Darren, after he died unexpectedly in 2021. In translating a poem he had written in Scots, a song poured out of all the themes of friendship he had spoken of. Sometimes art can be a therapy.
